Cinnamon Rolls

Today we want to make your mouth water by telling you how to make Cinnamon Rolls for your sweet breakfast. In this blog there are the ingredients for the dough, the filling and the frosting. You will also find the preparation and a picture of the finished rolls.

The ingredients for 20 – 40 pieces


The dough:
  • 50 gr melted, cooled butter
  • 300 ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 package vanilla custard powder
  • 500 gr flour
  • 1 package dry yeast


The filling:
  • 75 gr soft butter
  • 100-150 gr brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 100 gr crushed walnuts or pecan-nuts


  • 50 gr Philadelphia (type of ricotta)
  • 15 gr melted butter
  • 100 icing sugar
  • vanilla extract


The Preparation


Put all the ingredients for the dough into a bowl. Mix and knead. Afterwards you let everything rest for about an hour in a warm place.

Now you have to roll out the dough in form of a rectangle. Put the butter on it – generously -, scatter the cinnamon sugar and the nuts over it and coil each piece up from the longer side. After that you cut the roll into 2 cm thick rolls. Put them on a baking tray (2 cm apart from each other). Now let them rest for about an hour.

The oven has to be preheated: 200 degrees. Let the Cinnamon Rolls bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

In the end you can individually put the frosting on the Rolls but as a tip nearby: the rolls are sweet enough without the frosting.
